Leader of Solutions

AppFirst has an exciting career opportunity for a Leader of Solutions Delivery. As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for maturing the Business Risk management capabilities of AppFirst customers.

You will plan, initiate and manage projects that leverage the current AppFirst platform and augment it with custom software development and services to help our customers mature their risk management capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• This is a senior position at AppFirst and, as a leader of the Solutions Delivery team, you will be required to lead by example and have revenue responsibility.
• Work with customer’s business executives and IT managers to understand their business priorities and challenges through discovery workshops.
• Lead the process of identifying potential solutions to business risk management needs. These solutions will integrate the customer’s systems with the AppFirst data platform, AppFirst UI and any other custom software required to deliver a tailored solution.
• Develop high level implementation roadmaps and project estimates to describe how customers can transition to proposed solutions.
• Ensure successful hand-off of the solution to the customer.
• Actively seek out the leading edge in managing business & system risks and be comfortable in ideation with the customers.
• Actively seek out the latest from competitors and intelligently speak about the advantages and disadvantages of their solutions.
• Actively network with customer executives to constantly build long term strategic relationships.
• Actively communicate with the Leader of User Experience and Visual Products to advance the AppFirst platform and keep it at the leading edge of business risk management.

Functional Requirements:

• At least 2 years experience in delivering business monitoring solutions. Experience in advanced analytics is preferred, e.g. KPI identification & development; dashboarding; visualizations; ad-hoc reporting; push delivery; etc.
• At least 5 years work experience in managing a solutions delivery team.
• At least 10 years experience in major IT projects involving the whole business process.
• Ability to craft and articulate strategic solutions.
• Demonstrate successful delivery of business and IT projects on time, on budget and to scope.
• Demonstrate ability to produce and communicate technical information to non-technical peers and business partners and to convey business requirements to technical staff.
• Demonstrate ability to address, persuade and interact with senior and executive level positions within your organization and the client organization.

Leader of User Experience & Visual Products

AppFirst has undertaken an initiative to deliver a new product line for its ecommerce, gaming and SaaS customers. This is an exciting opportunity to design, guide & create this new solution suite.

The goal is to deliver an extremely well-designed (think “Apple”) user experience. At its heart, the suite will empower a customer to visualize, monitor and correlate risks to business performance (for example, dollar value of abandoned shopping cart) with degradations in system performance. The solutions need to be equally meaningful/actionable on a 50” dashboard watched by the full company as it is on a 15” laptop used by the CTO or a mobile device used by a member of the DevOps team.

Responsibilities:

• This is a senior position at AppFirst and, as leader of the User Experience & Visual Products team you will be required to lead by example.
• Synthesize competing demands and constraints of the product as seen from three viewpoints: business viewpoint, user experience viewpoint and application & operating system metrics viewpoint.
• Design simple and intuitive solutions to complex UX problems.
• Effectively participate in brainstorming sessions to discover potential innovations, whether they be incremental or mind blowing.
• Plan, prioritize, coordinate, and conduct appropriate user requirements discovery and analysis activities.
• Guide the development of user requirements in the form of written specifications, personas, storyboards, sketches, scenarios, work/task flows, and prototypes.
• Effectively communicate design rationale: how user research, design concepts, and design principles inspire and drive the work.
• Lead and actively contribute with a small team of user interface engineers to design, develop and QA the visual interface.

Functional Requirements:

• A strong belief that the user experience is the defining factor in making the product successful.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a User Experience Designer, Information Architect, Interaction Designer or similar role.
• Significant experience in product management and user experience design.
• Strong visual design skills and information architecture.

Inbound Marketing Manager

AppFirst is looking for someone to take ownership of the company’s in-bound marketing and nurturing efforts. The Inbound Marketing Manager will work closely with the company’s CMO to help orchestrate and drive AppFirst’s marketing campaigns!

This person’s ultimate goal will be to drive revenue not only through managing the company’s direct sales efforts but also by taking part in marketing website efforts and with providing support for indirect sales.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day Customer Development Representative activities
• Compile daily sales reports and generate up-to-date metrics on marketing performance
• Continue iterating and improve in-bound marketing activities
• Optimize existing and create new marketing campaigns
• Provide insight toward creation of lead pipeline for B2B setting, along with constant optimization of pipeline
• Coordinate and actively take part in creation and constant improvement of marketing-side website
• Assist CMO in all marketing efforts

Requirements:

• +3 years of marketing experience
• Demonstrated success in a B2B marketing setting (tech-industry B2B success preferred)
• Strong ability to work within a team

Part-Time Web Designer

For over two years, AppFirst has been working to provide state-of-the-art application performance management technology to its clients. Described as an “up and comer” by leading developers in the industry, we’re now looking to expand our team with the addition of a new part-time web designer.

What you’ll be doing:

• Collaborating with Marketing and Engineering to create successful visual experiences that explain the AppFirst product offering and aid in the acquisition of new customers.
• Evangelize the company’s values and goals through compelling design and visualization.
• Utilize best practices and teamwork to craft a more user-friendly and engaging website.
• Working with existing UI team to develop a UI experience that matches up with our product and our company’s values.

What we’re looking for:

• 3-5 years of professional web design experience
